On July 21, 2003 at about 10:09PM the Sugarland Police Department received a call of a shooting in the 3100 block of West Heatherock Circle ( Chimneystone Subdivision). At the scene the Officers discovered that 18 year old Michael Garcia had been shot numerous times in the chest and died as a results.

Several men allegedly arrived at the Garcia home before shots rang out. The victim's brother got into a physical altercation with one of the suspects after answering the front door. The victim and his father responded to the commotion and that is when gunfire erupted and Michael Garcia was murdered.
